Copper Country restaurants are invited to help with Giving Tuesday

\Portage Health Foundation (PHF) is looking for restaurants within Keweenaw, Houghton, Baraga and Ontonagon counties to donate a percentage of their sales on Tuesday, December 1 to support the 18 non-profit organizations participating in PHF's fourth annual #GivingTuesday campaign.

"This year has been hard on local non-profits and restaurants," said Michael H. Babcock, marketing and communications coordinator at PHF. "We're hoping this campaign will get more people out supporting our amazing local restaurants, with to-go orders or safely dining inside, and the incredible non-profits that serve our community."

Establishments who decide to partner with PHF will be featured on social media and other advertising outlets leading up to December 1. They will be sent a Giving Tuesday flyer to print out and display for customers. To make it easy for residents to know where they can dine to support our non-profit communication, the foundation will create the Giving Tuesday Dining Guide. That will be available on Tuesday, November 24 with all of the partnering restaurants information.

Those interested can visit phfgive.org/givingtuesday and fill out the restaurant partner form. You can also contact Media Intern Ariele Kauppila at (906) 299-0766 or email commintern@phfgive.org. Area restaurants are asked to submit the restaurant partner form by end-of-day on Friday, November 20 to ensure their restaurant will be included on the Giving Tuesday Dining Guide.
